Also don't forget the hinges need swapped side to side in addition to being higher. At least this is the scenario based on what I see and also have. My top is a Kelly but the hinges function and look the same and are placed the same.

    Wierd!
No not filler, they are 2 small u brackets, almost what a door restraint would attach to

the channel maybe still useful as it is to hold a seal

thx all, Wierd customization to be sure

your missing windshield filler pieces . left and right for door seal
I didn't notice door brackets were on wrong side (door) till glenn pointed it out
and I still say the solution is move hinge up on door . after you switch sides

I'll think you'll find the best use for that channel is for storing and collection dust. :)

    How do filler pieces attach?
Maybe this was all a workaround for that?

I find it wierd that hinges were not mounted to doors from myers/Orville etc. I guess they came as a kit

It probably was a workaround the missing filler pieces. Maybe Ron can get a good picture of them attached? Not saying what he posted isn't good, looks like carriage bolt heads and nuts on the inside of the windshield frame?

OK, looks like it is going to be reworked as opposed to fabricating a new bracket. I think the lower brackets are actually installed upside down also, note the door gap

Frankly at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the passenger door mounted better on the driver side and the driver side or passenger LOL

Twin can you post a picture of the lower door hinge. I’m looking to see if mine is just bent or it’s clearly upside down. Either top view or side view would be helpful so I can see where the pieces fold it over. It’s hard to believe that this wrong also. Maybe this was actually the start of the problems with this lower hinge being on the wrong side thus setting up the catastrophe of errors

Your bottom ones are reversed also. Need to swap sides just like the top ones. They are definitely throwing you off on trying to line things up.

Makes me wonder if they reversed the hinges purposely to make the doors stick out in order for the "wrong" piece up top to somewhat fit.

Heres a little drawing of the window channel if you are up to making them. It just gives you a place to put a foam seal.

Cool! I'm assuming the driver's door opens and closes smoothly and evenly?

I have doors like this and hinges. When in position the doors open and close well. nice if you drive in cold weather.
Doors come from above and insert in the hinges.
Because all this is very heavy to manage alone I don't put top and doors since 3 years.
I just want to confirm that with patience and help all fit exactly well, no mystery.
