You do know the brackets are welded on the firewall?

    Donny and Geoffrey,
Yes, realize the brackets are welded to the firewall. If someone had a very rusty tub they were going to toss anyway might be available?

I have a 1953 M38A1 that now has a later grill - center pivot with the strut ears (po sliced the hinge style grill up) and a 1960 frame, which works with this later grill, from Don Allen (0ld frame cracked/ rusted through). Someone put a 225 in it when released from Marine Corp in 1962 - used the factory engine mounts, same as I bought from AMC when doing my first motor conversion in 1972.

So - I dont know actual original engine/date for grill and my tub never had the struts as they were not used on the 53 military bodies.

Guessing I can adapt almost anything but it may be easier with the v6. Did buy an aluminum radiator that is the factory width (19” early style) that fits the grill/ducting, which leads me back to the V6 struts?

If you don't find any early's I have a pair of later CJ/YJ units you could shorten to fit your needs. Cost of shipping would take them.

So you have the later style M38A-1 grill with the lower center mount? If so, the grill rods should be the same as the F134 CJ5. I think you could adapt about any version rods with little effort.

I have mounts I could cut off for you for the cost of shipping but I don't have time until school gets out in a month. If you can't find another set before then let me know.

I might/should have the brackets on a hacked up tub here. If they are serviceable I can send them your way. Save Geoffrey the hassle.

If these will work I will cut them off and send them your way. I never realized before but they don't appear to have a left and right.
