T-15 Bench Shifting

    I have tried shifting this t-15 dry on the bench after rebuild, it will not free spin when I put it through the gears? Normal? rebuild is correct inside, shift tower was not taken apart, assume it can only go in one way, is it because there is no load on the tranny, no oil?

    It should definitely function on bench ever without filling with lube.
    Is transfer case attached or no ?
    Make sure you put all gears and shift tower in neutral when installing the shift tower.

    Ok, maybe that was the mistake, it was the shift tower placement
