Hi, looking for help. I rebuilt my 68 T14 and reused the original output shafts. The front yoke was installed fine, the rear yoke (original) will not go on. I tried tapping it with a dead blow hammer, and the yoke had fresh marks on a few teeth that looks like they didn't quite match up. I have tried multiple times rotating it one tooth at a time, which didn't seem to help. I used a puller to remove it and it came off without a problem I am stumped. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you!

I assume you don't have a spare yoke to check fitment to determine if which is damaged. My guess is that you have a burr on the output shaft spline since these parts were mated together before. It's easier to damage these than the internal splines on the yoke. Time to get the file out and give the leading edge of the teeth a look.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. It didn't look like there was a burr on the shaft, but I will take another look and try that. If that doesn't seem to be the case I'll get another yoke and see if that helps.
