Looking for a narrow ratio (4.02) Ford T19.
Gears must be in good shape meaning no rust, no chipped teeth and a rust free shift tower.
No hurry but somewhere near St. Louis because
I’m not paying to ship it.
    I plan fit it between a D225 and a low geared D20.

Be careful of ones used behind the Diesel engine. They tend to wear out the first gear to mainshaft splines causing a loose fit. This in turn causes them to jump out of first gear under load. Found this out the hard way. First gear should be a light interference fit on the shaft and not simply slide on.

Thank Nick, your advise is always top notch.
I had found a real nice Ford T19 with the 5.11 gear set but decided that 5.11 is too slow for a normal take off gear on the street.
    5.11 x 3.73 differentials gives me a street 1st of 19/1.
    4.02 x 3.73 differential gives me a street 1st of 15/1.
I kinda like to stay around 15/1 for 1st gear onroad.
I don’t see a big advantage to have 1st gear being synchro if it’s not regularly being used.
Anyone have an opinion on that.

If the 4.02 first is good for you, could you use a close ratio T18 also? Since you stated the non-synchro 1st is no big deal. I don't have one just wondering.

I’ll start a new thread to get better exposure and hopefully cover this topic somewhat.
