Grant, You've even got the original fuel pump heat shield. That usually got lost over the years.

I find two pairs of threaded holes on the windshield of my 67 CJ5, and have no idea what they are for.

Latches for the fabled Venting Windshield.

I think this picture may be courtesy of member Alan.

    Aha!

I saw a bright yellow 63 CJ5 summer before last with the vented windshield in a supermarket parking lot. It was a very nice Jeep, but I had never seen one with that windshield, so I waited beside the Jeep until the owner came back and I asked him about it. He said the vented windshield option was more common on the export Jeeps and his had come from Canada.

I don't know why I didn't make the connection, but may not have looked at the latches. Cool option which I am surprised wasn't more common in the US market.

Maybe because Americans are tall. The vent glass frame noticeably reduces the height of the view.

Or maybe to compete with Landrover overseas? It occurs to me that it might be handy for shooting at charging rogue elephants and so on.

I think I would just turn hard to the left and use my passenger as a rifle rest and possible shield if I missed.

And you can barbecue the steaks with the back-blast.

That's a great photo, of a really nice Jeep. I have everything but the gun and tripod, but under six coats of original paint.

Does anyone have a part number (or name) for this 90 degree hose that I think goes from the valve covers to the oil bath air cleaner? Or is it just a length of hose that you cut and bend? My FLAPS were stumped.

What is my roll bar from? It’s not original, just wondering what it might have come off of...

Is this the original battery tray? It’s a 66 tux. The trays rusted and rotted out. Looking for a stock replacement.

I also don’t know why when I upload photos sometimes they are sideways. In my camera roll they are normal.
