Set it on a flat level surface with the ring gear flange facing up. Measure from surface to ring gear flange. Should be the same as any Dana 44 case of the same series (assuming this is for a Dana 44). Probably help better with the measurement.

    Yes, Dana 44.
I don't have any cases lying around to compare to. Searched the part number and found nothing also.
Here is a picture of how I took the measurement. Can someone measure a carrier for me?

I got 2.406 inches to the ring gear flange.
    Thanks

I'll dig through my notes tomorrow as I have those measurements somewhere. Might do a search as I've posted them several times. I know I have a diagram at work.
As a side note, that is a differential CASE, not a friggin' carrier.
The carrier is the cast part the drive pinion gear/shaft, ring gear, and differential CASE fits into. The axle tubes also press into the carrier and are rosette welded in place to the carrier.
The ring gear bolts to the CASE.

I've mentioned to my neighbor and brother several times about the differances between a case and a carrier. They just used to roll their eyes at me. But they finally seem to be using the correct terms now. Just a few more people to work on...
