V6 Emblems

I ran across some V6 emblems recently while going thru an old junk yard not open to the public. Are these of and value or interest?

 

Of course they are! I think they are great!

 

Looks like someone was too liberal with the gray primer.

Typically any badges you find will be worth saving.

 

Snatch them up! Plenty of us around that would like to have a spare set laying around..... including myself! AND what Glenn says below!

 

Nothing like the aged looked for our aged CJ's.

What else you got? I need a cheap overdrive.

 

I have found some interesting pieces and now to see if he will let go of them. Wagon, trucks and CJ's but most of body parts too far gone. Some I will post here as I personally don't need but I'm sure others will. For example I saw a set of 5 ring Warn hubs (next trip will see if they turn), some push button wagon/truck door handles, bumper, head light buckets with nice chrome and some very rough 51-57 wagon/truck dash pieces. I did score 2 early CJ rear view mirrors. Then as he was taking back his screw driver I used to take them off, he popped one out of my hand. Then it was slow motion trying to grab it and not drop the other, only to see little crystals go flying as it caught a piece of metal there. If he is willing to part with it at a reasonable price, I'll offer here for a little markup to help feed the addiction.

 

Is anyone that has a set of these V6 emblems willing to tell me what their dimensions are? Overall height, overall width, and if they have posts on them... the C-C distance of the posts. I'd like to CNC my own set out of aluminum, anodize them, and match the colors to my jeep. Thanks in advance!

By the way, the old guy was not really willing to let any of that stuff go. He’d rather see it rot away then take time, or let someone else take the time, to part out. I’ve seen several old Willy’s parked and rotting away. Stopped on a few and the answer is always some day. Which will most likely never come. I pass 2 different sets of 2 trucks each on the way to the cabin. On one, the lady said she and her brother used to be taken to school in them there trucks so can’t let them go but her brother says some day soon he will start work on them. That was 2016 and they haven’t moved yet. Rained on, snowed on, etc. but it’s their decision.

Never pass up emblems. I see you can't get these. The PO of my Jeep removed the emblems and even hammered the Jeep name flat and puttied over. Keep an eye on estate sales. When he passes, his kids or wife will sell it all cheap. I'm not meaning any ill will. I've just seen it happen many times. Be a shame to see it all go to scrap.
