    I have done a search
It's time to replace my rear seal on a 225 it's getting worse

    anybody have a QUALITY part# for a V6
I DO NOT want to pull the motor ,I plan on just loosening the crank and slip the new rubber seal in ,,,,is/could it be that easy ?

i had the rope seal first when i rebuilt mine. it didn't go so well and leaked and when i was stuck in a DEEP water hole it filled up with water and mud. then after that i think it was napa that had the newer seal but it too is to be desired. but try napa.

hahahaaha "The use of neoprene seals will also free horsepower because the drag on the crank is only a fraction of that compared to rope seals."

I definately would opt for the neoprene rear main seal as opposed to the rope type.

I am using the Clevite brand neoprene rear main seal manufactured by Mc Cord.
    Same one as TA performance.
