You know she will, too. That psycho.
Ok, NOW I need to put this away and clean the shop.
Rear shock mounts are tacked in place.
I threw a wheel on to check clearances. I have about 1 3/4" between the tire and shock body. The tire might rub a little under full flex, but I don't have much of a choice. It's the only place this will fit without using a drastically shorter shock or mounting it at a sharp angle.
i really like those tires on the old school aluminum wheels
I do too, I just wish the rims were narrower. It took a whole lot of starter fluid to get them to seat. It won't take much effort to blow them off the bead in an aggressive turn.
One last shot. I got the old axle back under it this morning to make it a roller again, and I threw the windshield on to see how the driver's visibility will be.
It was actually old used lacquer thinner.
The deposit check for this upcoming job must be coming pony express, so I dug out the wiring harness for this engine's car.
If any of you just love wiring, feel free to come help.
Doesn't look too bad. Knock that out over lunch...
Go back and review Project Binky for help in sorting wiring harnesses.
I have a very similar pile-o-wires that came with a 4.3 I bought. Every time I start looking at it, it makes me want to go have a nap.
As do I. It quite a bundle.
Dang it, can't view the pics on the work computer for some reason!!
Imagine this, but darker.
Any of you Volvo guys know what this switch is for?
Kinda looks like an antenna...electric antenna?
That was what I was suspecting too. I just googled "Volvo 740 antenna switch" and came up with this:
Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon Antenna Switch 1308317 Untested for sale online | eBay
People are crazy with the prices they ask for junk.
Don't use it. It launches the Volvo Bombers...
Activate chicken feet!
Maybe you could sell yours to defray the cost of the Varg?
I finally got around to disassembling the Rodeo axle so I can ship off a side gear along with the axle shaft to get shortened. They like to have a mating spline to check their work.
I made some tabs to aid in Trak-Loc dis/reassembly. If anyone needs to use them, let me know.
