my guess is that Valentines Day...or as the wife & I call it Hallmark Day, sucked all of the man juice from the guys. All they're thinkin bout is how they're gonna explain the new project they bought for their girl. ....."But honey...just think of how HOT yur gonna look drivin a sweet old CJ". "oh yeah...check out this trailer I bought, for US!!!R)

My trailer is hibernating while the weather is cold and I work on other projects... I really need to buy a tarp.

for the outrageous sum of $250.
    Does this help?

If not maybe the fact I'm on the scrounge for a M101CDN will help, theres four or five of them for sale more-or-less locally.

    H.:)

p.s.- heres some more pics I took of Pat's operation last summer-

Well, I just traded my newly aquired Bantam for a M416 project. After I found out the Bantam was almost totatlly orignal, I couldn't bare the guild of modifying it into an offroad trailer. This one better suits my needs and he'll be happy with a more 'year specific' trailer to pull behind his jeep. I got the trailer home Saturday and dismantled it for cleaning / painting. It had recently been sandblasted, so it's ready to get painted. I coated the frame and bottom of the tub with POR15 yesterday and today I'm going to work on the wiring. I'll post pics tomorrow (forgot my camera at home).

I just disassembled my M416 too. It's in pieces in the garage right now. I sanded down the frame today. I'm going to POR-15 the underside of the tub and frame as well. I didn't paint anything yet. Still need to prep the tub before painting.

Ok. Here are some really crumby pictures. The light is sooooo bad in my garage.

I cleaned the frame and bottom of the tub and put 2 coats of POR15 on it Sunday. Too bad I'm a silly man and disregarded the warning to 'not let this stuff dry on your hands'

The frame and tub came out great. POR15 goes on really easy and dries with a nice smooth finish. Everything I painted looks brand new!

I wired the trailer with a new harness last night and threw the tub on it and fastened it down. I also cleaned up and painted a couple jerry cans and mounts that I intend to mount on the trailer. Hopefully I can find a place to mount them tonight.

I dropped off my 33"x10.5" super swamper radials to have them mounted on matching rims (to my CJ). I'm putting these on my trailer that way I only need 1 spare for both trailer and CJ.

I had to order a 14", 7 position pintle mounting plate / reciever adapter. I need to raise the CJ's hitch height to match the trailer (yes, I moved the lunette to the lower position) and the only way to do that is to get past the spare tire. That should arrive tomorrow.

Tonight I'm going to attach the tires and work on the front trailer wiring / connectors. I'm also going to figure out where to mount the jerry cans. I also need to decide if I'm going to mount a flat plate in front of the box to strap down a cooler.

R)R)R)R)!!! Some Jeep nut in Central Illinois traded me for an older, rusty one!! LOL!!!

Here is an updated picture with the new tires / rims. Everything that's black is POR15.

Waaaayyyyyy too cold to do anything else with it last night.

Getting new tires and installing them on a project has to be the single most gratifying part of any project!! I'm still grinning!!

Sac13, POR will fall apart in sunlight, a chassis black top coat may help you nicely. Looks very nice!

Looks good. Does that trailer have different leaf springs or were you able to fit the 33x10.5 swampers on there with the stock springs? I run 33x10.5 TSLs on my YJ and I'd love to run them on the M416 too, but I don't think they'll fit.

It's been converted to a SOA config and yes, plenty of room with orignial springs! I think you may actually squeeze 35s under the fenders.

Good call. I wasn't even thinking about the tongue being exposed! I'll order up a top coat pronto!! Thanks!
