    I hope Roxor prevails. They're more of a Jeep than a new Jeep is.

    Nope. All posts about this keep rehashing the same thing. It's in legal limbo.

    Here is the recent Roxor side of it explained:

    Seeing how ChryCo lost this tussle twice against non-UTVs already and FCA gave them approval on the grill design, I think this is all window dressing to keep smaller guys from trying this. A 'canned fight' sort of deal, just to put up appearances.

    I think in the legal world, it is "use it or lose it." If a company does not actively defend it's unique attributes, it risks having the right to do so disappear.

    Right. I doubt they ever planned on winning. I bet they fully expected the Roxor to not be so successful, and assumed they'd bring this ITC matter up if they were.

    Jeep sells a ton of JLs. They are doing fine as a car company. They just don't make strippo simple "Willys" type Jeeps anymore. For off-road utility vehicle use, Roxor does. People get all chapped over this, but it's a fact.

    I've said this before, but if Jeep offered a strippo, cheap, work version of the JL (which they do not), Roxor might not have entered the market at all. The work Jeep would offer more overall utility (road driving). Since the two operate in different markets, Jeep will not win this as sales were not impacted. Saying sales were impacted would be like Jeep saying all UTVs need to stop being sold because people want them rather than $43K fancy Jeeps. Wait.. maybe we shouldn't give their lawyers ideas.

    I find this fight between these two companies. I also find it interesting that Jeep does not dispute Mahindra's claim in their statement "They also don’t mention that ROXOR is an off-road only vehicle" when we all have seen Roxors being licensed in various locations.

    It's a dispute that would fail and Jeep isn't going to take the bait on that one. This is a federal level legal spat. State and local statues have no bearing on it.

    Jeep has to put up a showing so someone doesn't try to make a blatant JL rip-off. That's all this really is.
