Has anyone here installed the XJ swing pedals? I picked up a set recently and need input on how to do it. Pics would be good.

    Thanks, Jim

I have a set sitting on my garage floor, been tripping over them for years. I think the biggest hurdle is how to support the dashboard side of the assembly, and to make sure the pedals swing properly

I'm 95% done with YJ pedal swap.

    Mount them High.

Chopped to fit under the dash. We added a plate to the assembly that bolts to the Cowl behind the dash.

    Good morning Jim,

So, I think I still probably want to upgrade my brakes to a dual master cylinder, and probably a swing pedal of some type, just for safety's sake, but I have to say that I'm pretty happy with my 71-up cable type clutch that removes the mechanical linkage between the frame and tcase/bell housing? I figure I can just skid plate the frame pivot like Stan Fuller(Grampa's jeep) did and carry a spare clutch cable?

I had a set of roxor swing pedals and brake/clutch assemblies sitting around here for a while, but honestly my jeep worked so well, I just never prioritized them.

What's your main thought behind swing pedals Jim? Just curious what your thought-process is?

    My reasons are,
So much easier to fill the M/C.
get rid of the clutch/brake linkage that can bind up when wheeling.....no fun!
Have had friends brake/clutch linkage get ripped off from rocks or down tree limbs
Swing pedals open "possibilities" such as....
body lift.....just enough to get to those #$&# bell housing bolts OR run a F-134 motor with a holley 1904 carb W/O hood clearance issues.
makes motor conversions easier.....exhaust systems, ETC
Had swing pedals in my 2A years ago and really liked them.
    Hope that helps, Jim
