I guess I should have gone back and read what type she was running. My bad. Oh well, the info is there for anyone else that may be looking for these.

I'd like to wait on a wheel for now, I've got plenty going on;)

But I could use a wiper motor and cover for my new windshield assembly?

Is a wheel measured from outside to outside?

The wiring is going very slowly:(

Wheels are measured to the inside of the lips where the bead seals. That looks like an 8" wheel in the picture.

Ok, I've never been much of a "wheel" person. I didn't paint this one as I knew I wasn't going to use it.

and so I have 8" wheels.

This is a wheel from my brothers '62~ has the same triangles, but is different, I like the ones I have as there is not a recess where the wheels are welded together. Mine are smooth. Also on the wheel below, there are threads to secure a cap of sorts, mine do not So I guess if I can find a wheel like mine~ I'd buy one.

I'll look in my 'pile o wheels' and see if I have a match for those. I have quite a few white spoked wheels I've collected over the years with various project/basket cases I've bought.

Your brothers wheels look like they might be the factory Jeep wheels that Rubicloak linked before.

Dne - Hudson is making a trip to my neighborhood in a couple weeks - I'll see if I have a matching wheel he can tote back to TX with him to the Dallas area.

Got as far as I could today, have kids and grandkids coming over for a couple days.

Got a little more wiring done around the engine(alt, temp, oil, solenoid), then worked on the battery holder and that came out better than my brothers. The wiring is much neater. You know, you get better after doing things a couple times.
so, I guess that's it for now~ it feels like a Saturday , being retired I actually forget what day it is, sometimes what year it is

Here I welded a tab to support/hold the cutoff switch on the battery box. I found some neat battery cables on ebay at a good price and looks much more "stock" than the typical battery cables at parts stores. I'll be installing through the firewall connections for the + and - instead of through grommet

I know many wouldn't approve of putting the battery under the dash as I have. I just feel the battery is an eye sore under the hood, especially for such a pretty engine such as mine. I want my engine to "POP" when opening the hood;)

These wire loom holders from Amazon help tidy things up;) I made a bracket to hold the fuse box away from the firewall as I didn't want screws sticking through the pretty firewall. I'll get a better picture of that.

I’m hoping they hold up to heat. I have a few right above the cat. :worry:

Well, that crossed mind about the heat, but might be wise in that location to at least put a tie wrap somehow as a safety? Sure wouldn't want wiring getting wrapped in that constant velocity joint! ;) That's a cool joint! ;)

Dne' I have 7 wheels that match what you need - 4 have been painted black and have ratty tires on them, and these three that were in my pile o wheels. I'm only needing one for a set of 5 that might be needed in the future, so did you want 1 or 2 of them?

We can see about linking with Hudson when he comes up in a couple weeks to get them to Dallas :)

Hey Chuck, I really only need one wheel, but I don't want to inconvenience you guys for a wheel~ that's an awful lot of traveling for just a wheel:(

He is coming to the Springs and back to Dallas in a couple weeks anyhow - Round Trip Dallas, Tx To Colorado Springs Back To Dallas - It would be a whole lot easier to get it to your neck of the woods from Dallas.

Just note in the thread - he and I can connect up here (Falcon is just outside of Colorado Springs), and then you can see about connecting with him in Dallas or whatever...

OMG, Chuck~ I don't want you guys going out of your way for a little wheel. I'm sure one will pop up eventually around here in big old Houston. Dallas is a 4+ hour trip from here:( I certainly appreciate the effort, but let's think this out~ only if there is a "shipment" coming to Houston? Just would want to make it worth the while. Perhaps just ship it, I don't mind paying for stuff, what's another 100 bucks or so when I have thousands in this project?:lol:
