Anybody got a pic of a 77-78 master cylinder on a CJ5 or CJ7 that does not have power brakes? I'm ready to purchase a new master cylinder and want to get this one because the lines exit on the drivers side of the MC instead of the passenger side. Otherwise, I think they are the same, but I want to make sure. The biggest thing I'm looking for is the size of the reservoirs. The ones on my current MC are equal in size. If the 77-78 is the same as the 72-76 with the exception of where the lines exit, I'm going to put the later model MC on. Thanks in advance fo the help. Once I get all of this figured out, I'll post pics and a write up so you can see what I did.

Not sure if this is important, but the MCs with one larger and one smaller reservoir are for disc systems. The caliper (disc system) requires more fluid than the wheel cylinder (drum). I would say you are OK using a disc/drum master cylinder on a drum/drum system, but the residual valves would be wrong. The disc side would be rated to low and probably cause spongy brakes. Definitely can't use a drum/drum mc on a disc/drum setup, not enough fluid capacity. CJs changed over to front disc mid -77, so if you are drum/drum, go early -77, if converted to disc try -78.

That is why I wanted to see a pic. I know that I need an MC with the reservoirs being the same size. I wanted to know if the 77-78 was for disc or not. The way the 4wd hardware catalog is setup, it looks like a MC for drum brakes, but I want to be sure before I order it. I know I can always send it back, but I don't want the hassle. Here is the way it shows up on their website. Can't tell from that eiter. the part number is 8127792. Don't know if any of you guys can cross reference that for me or not.
