Anybody know if the driver's side stereo speaker can be replaced without opening the dash panel? (1988 YJ) If so, how. If not, how much will I need to do to the dash and instruments etc?

I got the right side okay but the left one seems like they built the jeep around it.

Years ago I was able to do it without removing dash but it took a long time and was a big hassle. I have pretty small hands and was able to sqeeze one up behind there. Not sure I could do it today and loosing dexterity with age. think I was only able to get 3 of the 4 nuts on the studs. Wud definitely check out removing dash.

Sounds about right. I can't even see the nuts.

But it appears taking out the dash is *bit* more complex than a CJ5.
