......or just adding to the stable?
I'm just in the the process of closing the deal on a '05 TJ Rubicon. I'm not going to quit using my CJ or DJ, it is just opening up other wheeling opportunities, and it will be my DD. Some people have to decide what tie to wear I will have to decide which Jeep to drive!:D

This is the denial stage, where you tell yourself "I'm not a quitter"...

Yep, but find myself in the exact same position. Going to use the JK for some of the milder wheeling, but the 3B will remain the go-to rig for the real wheeling, which for me is the 4 rated stuff. The JK is now THE DD and don't want to get carried away with it.

That's what I have also, an '05 TJ Rubicon with 4.0, 6spd as my DD. I do wheel it occasionally. It is nice having the comforts that the Jalopy doesn't! But you can't beat the fun of an early jeep showing up the new stuff!

Hey, at least your "quitter Jeep" is a Jeep!

I keep telling myself it's a Jeep in it's own right...

My CJ is not my primary vehicle anymore, hasn't been for 15 years. It's not worth using it as a daily driver, going back and forth to work, and putting wear and tear on the hard to find parts. I don't think I am a quitter because I still spend a lot of time taking care of it. Not using it daily keeps it in better shape which is what restoration is all about. If it was still my DD it would have been run into the ground by now.

'04 Rubicon here. Its nice to be able work on little things with it as a break from the rebuild when I need to step back for a minute.

    Hi Everyone

    QUITTER here for sure....
I love the history of these vehicles and I love the way they look. I currently have 3 Willys Jeeps. I wont drive any of them(on the road at least). I do use the newest one (1965 CJ5) as my snow mover.
My 1960 Willys truck wont ever see the road. Not reliable enough for me.
I am about 25% done with a 1947 CJ2A that I am working on....the jury is still out as to if I will drive it on the road. These vehicles are not safe by todays standards (cant even keep up with traffic in my neck)....terrible on gas too...ride way too rough for my boney butt....They do keep me busy grinding and welding at night tho...and when the snow hits I am inside of a metal cab out of the snow falling.
My daily driver is a 1999 S10 gets 22 plus MPG's...gets me from point a to b which means I am making money with it...cant say the same for the Willys vehicles.

P.S. So how do you guys afford those newer Jeeps anyways???

I look at it like this, My CJ is the Father to my TJ, helps me cope if I give one less attention than the other, now I just need a JK and it will be the grandson.
