Looking for a source. They need to be about .5" longer than stock and that .5" should be in the shank if at all possible. Anyone have a good source?

Fastenal had some. Shanks all the way into the far side, nylok nuts, both grade 8.

Matt, with the big words and all. If you are talking about the springs (just ribbin' ya), those are Con-Ferr U-bolt skid plates. I believe Con-Ferr is no more. They may have been bought out IDK.

Same here. Grade 9 and drilled for grease and safety wire.

The tank clearence is tight so the bolts are threaded into the shackles on the inside.

So that is why you used the safety wire, no nylock nuts.
Did you build that tank? Nice looking work. How much does it hold?

Not enough clearence on the back side for nuts as I maximized the tank size-it holds 25 gallons. I wasn't sure how much lateral travel there was actually going to be with the spring flex and hence the acetal copolymer rub strips at the bottom edge of the tank above the skid plate. That tank went in in late 2007 and the rub strips were probably unneccesary as they still show no wear but certainly would if you had worn spring/shackle bushings.
