Love the old wagons. Had one; my first Jeep was a '59 wagon.
They make a great "SUV"... it's a bit harder to make them as trail worthy as a CJ.

I don't consider going to an old wagon quitting. I love those.

I wouldn't consider that quitting either. I like the wagons and the pickups.

    Not quitting, just changing gears.

More space in a wagon anyway...

  6. Thanks guys...that's all I need!!! INSTIGATORS & ENABLERS!!! :)

It really would be more practical for me as a one vehicle owner...I guess I'll just keep an eye out & see if something comes along that interests me...

What did you expect? :D Most of us will actually tell you to keep the Cj and get the wagon.

    X2... :tea:

  9. That can't happen...:( I had to make some financial obligations in order to help immediate family members that are medically disabled...on top of that I'm trying to go "SEMI RETIRED"

I think you haven't quit until you've purchased a jeep that came with coil springs from the factory. That's my definition, anyway............I guess.

My cj had coil springs new.

Of course it came from the outfitter if I've researched correctly...

I consider YJ' s quitting. Leaf springs but rectangle headlights.

"Old Wagon" - Utility Wagon or Wagoneer? You can get a Wagoneer as new as 1991. The Utility Wagons were last produced in 1964, IIRC.

I thought this forum was more about the TJ/JK as a replacement for a CJ. The JK Unlimited is like a wagon - I'd guess interior cubic isn't far off from a Wagoneer.

I've had thoughts of (once we're off the road...whenever that is) finding a nice clean late model YJ and slapping a CJ nose on it. I don't see how a little sheet metal = quitting?

This is what I would do with a YJ.

I do have a CJ5 grill and hood to throw on my son's 95. Haven't gotten to it yet.

Sounds like a lateral move rather than quitting.
