i have a 1962 CJ5 that i am restoring, bought a new body from kaiser willys. They come with no holes pre-drilled for anything. i have a set of seat frames from a 1961 that i scrapped out, but have no idea where to drill the holes for the seats. my question is does the drivers seat line up with the center of the steering wheel or are they off set more towards the outside of the body. If i set them up centering the steering wheel the seats are about 5 inches away from the side of the tub! Is this correct. Any help or pictures would be greatly appretiated.

Just checked mine. 5" is correct! (y)
(for both drivers side and passenger side)

Yeah, the '71 and earlier steering is quite a lot further inboard than later Jeeps. The seat and steering moves outward to match the passenger side in 1972.
