There's some unwritten law that if you've mowed the lawn twice, top comes off.

I have one more time to go!

My grandma always said to never plant green beans until the leaves of an oak tree reach the size of a mouse’s ear.

I’m sure there’s some sort of correlation

I know it is not my M38A1. But my daughters 89YJ needed some love this weekend. Friend gave me some take offs from his JK and after 18 trips to O’Reillys I have them on. Lol. I would post photos but not sure how to reduce the size of the photos. iPad things

I have owned this Jeep for 2 and almost a half years and it has been down as often as it's been up.
With the repairs I’ve done, finally felt confident enough to cruise.
I drive it to work when I can and probably have never driven more than 2 miles at a stretch since I bought it.
Today, put about a 20 mile round trip on her to have a beer with a buddy.
Outta sight! Mostly 35 mph and less but about 2 miles each way of 55 mph “country road”. She handled like a well behaved 54 year old.
Feels good to have her in the pink for a spell!

I never put the top back on. :sneak:

Speaking of that we went outside for a bit of sunlight (and to clean it's puddle)
Finally on it's own wheels! And yes my 3yr old was steering.

Headlight fluid looks good. You should still check the blinker fluid though.

This is at least the second time you've done something like that.

Time to waterproof the Jeep and install a deep water fording kit.

Not in the mood to get under the 3B on Easter, so I thought of an easier project. My '67 has a 38 year old Kayline top (1985), that has a few spots needing attention. Yes, that is 12' of snow behind it.

This stuff is cheap enough, I thought I would give it a try, strictly as a stop gap measure..(yeah right).

    The offending stick-hole.

Cut to size, peel and stick. Yes, the grain is different, but stand back a little, and it looks fine.

They have a selection of colors. Get it on Amazon.

My son is taking auto body classes at Pikes Peak State College....he painted these wheels in the paint booth there. They're going on his Willys pickup. Color is Wimbledon white, from Restoration Shop.
    I think they look great!

I've been looking for a Bimini/Bikini top for my 56 CJ5. I't got the early 2 piece glass windshield and I hated to spend a lot of money on something that might not fit right. I found a top for a 87-91 Wrangler on Facebook Marketplace. I've never been able to buy anything from the flakes there. But! This time my message was answered within a few minutes and they dropped the price from $40 to $30.00 with out even asking. It's a NOS in the box top
    that is Garfield approved.
Since it's not for the early model, I ended up screwing the leading edge to the windshield frame. The top has a heavy re-enforcing strip made into it for the slide in groove that wouldn't work. But it was strong enough to drill through. Next time I get to town I will pick up a 1/2" x 3/16" aluminum strap to add over the top and sandwich the canvas to stop any bowing up and leaking at speed.
All in all it fits fairly well considering it's made for the later model.

Such and incredibly productive few weeks!

Fixed some rust pinholes. Patched and painted the quarters and fenders

Installed a taller windshield, frame, and motor wipers from a 69' model

Did the foil tape tail light mod. Ended up about 10-15% brighter which is better than nothing :)

Finished the rubber flooring (home depot mats) and pulled the backseat out.

And fixed a leaky exhaust manifold to downpipe joint! :)
