Or even better, bring the oldr ones along. My son is 19 and literally grew up in my CJ (1st trip over Black Bear at age 18 months). Some of our best memories are Jeeping trips together!

Finished my under seat tank plumbing.
The valve fit perfectly in between the seats where I wanted it to go. I had to trim about 3/8" off the handle for proper clearance.

    Hoses hooked up underneath.

No more cheesy nylon tubes to the engine bay, I ran rubber hoses along the left side of the T14 and added a customized hose clamp to reduce movement. I used some bicycle inner tubes to protect the hoses going up between the bell housing and the firewall. The tubes on the right side are existing axle vent tubes.

Hoses and ground wire to the new tank. I used through-wall bulkhead fittings for the new hose routing.

The hoses are a little vulnerable behind the driver seat so I plan to fab a piece of angle to protect it from people or cargo bumping it.

    I like the valve placement.
Is that random hole gonna be a vent?

That hole is actually a blind hole that is molded into the MTS tank.

Got my limited slip all done. Its an eaton. I didnt test it offroad yet but on road dont even notice a difference which is great. I just hope its working lol I ended up re-shimming both axles. I dont know how they got so whacked out since i used the same old center spacer. Also replaced the second outer axle axle seal which required me to make another spacer. The old seals sealed on the shaft and the new ones seal on the hub. I had to make a 3/8" aluminum spacer for both sides for the seals to reach the hub. Also I had to use different carrier bearing because the old ones were too small. There were bearings in the box I bought it unused second hand. But they worked out perfect for me went right in with pefect lash. I did have to grind the housing a bit on the passenger side to fit the unit in there. The bearing cap was tight too but I didnt need to grind it. I feel like I got lucky it went as well as it did and I had all the parts to do what had to be done.

Finished the parking brake install. Bought this lever off fleabay. Brand new for 2016 Cobalt $42 to my door.
Found a spot for it, rivnuts in the floor, cut a small notch. Reworked the equalizer. Made a bracket to secure the cables. Everything else is factory 11" drum stuff. Tested on my steepest hill on the property. Pleased... 3765.jpeg 3843.jpeg 3869.jpeg 3870.jpeg

What is the source of the bracket in the last picture that holds the two cables from the rear drums?

I did one of Oregon’s Badge of Honor trails the Cedar Tree Trail which is 4kms long; it takes an average of 1 hour 30 minutes to complete. It was a nice dry day so it was a nice easy trail. If it was wet it would have been pretty difficult with a lot of mud and Rock climbing. Resized_IMG-20230716-WA0000.jpeg

Today I let the Suburban serve as anchor, while I did body straitening. Trying to get it ready for corner armor.

and then there is the inevitable project creep

The corner armor overlaps the tail gate opening, which means I need to fix that rust too.

Installed a fuel gauge for the new front tank. I tried to make it symmetrical with the voltmeter across the speedometer, but the body of the starter switch is in the way. So it looks like lopsided mickey mouse ears.
