Ha anyone ever see, heard of, or built a trailer made from a jeep body and frame?

I once had a pickup that was converted to a trailer by chopping off parts of the frame and body cab.

I wonder if anyone ever made a similar one from a jeep CJ....

Seen it with CJ-7 tubs before IIRC. Appeared in a magazine in a trail ride article.

There was a pic posted here not too long ago with a jeep tub as a trailer. It can be done, but I questioned it usefulness. The floor wasn't flat and there isn't a good way to tarp it off unless you leave the windsheild on. Just my humble opinion, but an M416 or Bantam would be a better way to go.

I agree. I really really like that. Looks like it'd be perfect for the trail. That's what I need to hold my beer instead of a gear rack. Man I wish I had the skills to build one of those.

    Congratulations!

i posted a link to the finished (99% anyway) version of the trailer in the last frontier thread i started in introductions. thanks for the compliments.

and it really didn't take much skill. you would be suprised at how well bondo and spray in bedliner covers scabbed together metal.
