anybody know the weight difference between the two? will a Dauntless flywheel work on the 350? any other tips on a swap into an ECJ5?

Don't know the weight difference but the Dauntless flywheel is balanced different from a 350. I believe the crank bolt pattern is the same though. You'll need a 350 flywheel or have a 225 flywheel balanced for the 350. Nickmil

The Bucik 350 weighs in around 450 lbs, its the lightest of GM's iron small blocks. The heavy flywheel will work so long as you have it rebalanced to the engine, otherwise find a Buick small block v8 flywheel. There was a member along time ago who had a Bucik 350 in his jeep.

You will need to move the radiator forward and shorten the grill frame box.

    Would a late-CJ V8 grille/radiator work?

JMO - that's a lot of engine for an ECJ5. Wagoneer owners that have them really like them. Moves a Wagoneer around very well.
No wackier than a 401 in an Intermediate I suppose, but those start off with a somewhat stronger drivetrain.
    It's a great swap for a Jeepster with a TH400 though.

    I have a 1972 Olds with a 350 rocket in it.
The thought of driving my CJ5 with that engine in it scares the crap out of me!

That's Andrew (handle on here is 1970CJ6) he swapped the F Head for a Buick 350.

I've seen the JEEP, very nice and clean install, not much mod work? Maybe talk to him about it if he doesn't chime in on here.
