Grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon. Married 34 years, two kids, live on the coast in northern (far north) California where few things put a smile on my face quicker than mountains, Jeeps and dirt roads. Growing up, dad and grampa had all hoists, tools and welders that my buddies and I needed to keep our cars running. Today I still try to do my own repairs and often get in over my head. I may be a weekend back yard mechanic, but I've spent my life working in building supplies. About 20 years ago those dirt roads started calling me and I went shopping for a Jeep. What I found was a cute little Suzuki Samurai. It was a good little rig but got totaled five years later, so again I went looking for a "JEEP" with the a 60's vintage in mind. My '64' CJ was towed home from San Jose, CA behind our motor home. It was a mess, but we quickly got it running and its been my friend and every day driver since : ) The wife and co-workers wonder why I'd choose a 48 year old jeep as my every day driver, buy maybe some of you here understand.

    Jeep'n, motorcycles, water/snow skiing, back-packing and tennis.
