I have a 58 CJ6 but my steering column is from a Postal Jeep. I am not sure what bearings it takes, it looks like an older column but the postal Jeep is from the 70s. 258 inline. Auto on floor, key in dash.

Trying to figure out steering column bearing numbers. Any help is appreciated. Usually I am in the early jeep section.

Assuming they are the same as an intermediate -

site:earlycj5.com intermediate column bearing - Bing

"The upper bearing is a 801422, which is a Willys-era number you should be able to source many places. The bottom bearing is a 999769. Mike Mcruff made a replacement bottom bearing from brass for me."

Should have been a link to a search - if you look there, you will find the thread that I am quoting from. Glad I could help.
