Bigbendhiker posted up some good pics of his 69, post up your ride.

 

My J/C titled as a 1970 but likely really a late 1969. It has 1 3/4" front springs, hood reflectors and had a Ross/ Gemmer steering before I switched to Saginaw power steering.
225 V6 - T14 w/hydraulic clutch - D20 Xfer with "74 CJ D30 front , D44 rear axle set and 4" lift, .

 

OzFin that looks awesome! The paint and everything looks really good. I especially like the air cleaner. Mine has an aftermarket air cleaner. I may have to search for an original.

 

On the other end of the spectrum.

 

Oxfin, that is nice. Clean and neat. Jackdog, anything can be fixed and I admire your courage.

 

This seems to happen to cars in general. I suspect it's the spray of road salt from the wheels, focused on the back half of the Jeep. The spray just goes to the back, sparing the front to a degree.

Many good parts there.

 

My 70, even though there is snow in the pic it looks the same today. It's a bit aggressive(funding wise)but the plan is do the Rubicon and Fordyce Canyon Aug 2021 in it.

 

I was going to say it looks like the backend was parked in water for quite awhile, but I think you're right. The right rear hubcap still looks pretty good.

Just bought a 70 convertible yesterday

 

Starting from this image you can also compete at 24 Hours Le Mans.... just get the good parts.
By the way, Le Mans is not far from my place.
But my grand father is in the cemetery... no good. 60 years ago . Never be back except to the race field and museum with children.
