Looking For Picture Of 72 Renegade Tire Carrier

I unfortunately sold mine with my tub about 12 years ago and began this journey of rebuild. fast forward to now where I am ready to finish up I need to fab one up like the original because I'm sure the original one would cost me an arm and leg hahaha. If anyone has a pic of theirs I would love to get a copy. thanks!

Rear mounted, not side mounted. I had a picture somewhere ... Jeep PN 986351. You should be able to find one. Check the Mil sites - I believe it's similar to the M38A1 part if not the same.

why not go custom?

 

This Jeep is not going to be a daily driver or off roaded so not worried about it not being convenient or better placed. This 74 Renagade is completely stock /original except for some panel replacements and I just want to keep it that way for nostalgic reasons and value. There were numerous holes on the back panel reinforcement so I’m not sure of the correct placement.

 

It's centered, and the top bolts go through the holes in the reinforcing rib. Your picture of the back panel shows the holes.
