The fees were over $100 for a couple brake backing plates. It was thru UPS and I haven't shipped to Canada since. If you want to come down and pick it up, I'll make you a great deal :).

Hi everyone thanks for all the info. I found a bearing at bearingscanada for $28 CAD tax and shipping in
Hi guys , thanks for all your info. I did get the bearing off and have ordered one from bearingscanada for $28 CAD including tax and shipping . Should have it next week . Then the project can get reassembled , motor , tranny, transfer case and steering box, all rebuilt. Just looking for an original style steering wheel that’s in good shape as mine probably not safe to use with the cracks and chips out of it. Cheers Craig

Some folks have repaired the stock wheel with an specialty compound. It may be worth a try.

Repaired mine a few years ago with JB Weld. Still looks like new.

Hi , not sure about the epoxy fix as my wheel has lots of chips on the inside hub. So much material missing, not sure how to replicate that part. Mine is the 2 spoke Jeepster wheel . Craig

Mine is the 3 spoke cj5 type. Yours may be more difficult.

hey everyone, problem solved .We followed Junk Wreckers advice and ground down the weld a bit more and tapped it a few times and off it came. Bought a bearing off of Bearings Canada for like $25 CAD welded it back up without balancing as it squares itself up when it stops on the tube. Wish I could take smaller file size pics on my I phone XR but cant figure it out. when I do . will post some. Craig

    Nice work.
It also has to be a great feeling that you accomplished what the drive line shop wouldn't do.
