Does anyone have a guide or pic of what-where-and-which for the labels, stickers and decals on a 62 CJ5 dash? I already have the transmission/transfer case one but I don't know exactly where to place it and if I need some other decals. I do not plan to do a show restoration but I want it to look nice and not Bubba-made. Thanks!

The only factory decal would be the shifter one, it goes a few inches above the steering column, no two were ever in exactly the same place.

These three CJ5 pictures, noted as 1962, agree with each other regarding the decal--and also to Howard's post .

Over the steering column was the most common location, but also could be on the left side of the glovebox door, either inside or outside.

Was there a typical location for a locking hub placard?

Locking hubs were not a factory option in 1962. First year was in 1974. The sticker came in the box with the hubs, with no indication of proper placement.

Where I worked, when a customer bought a new Jeep and wanted hubs dealer installed, they would put the flanges in the box and leave the box in the Jeep. They also left the sticker in the box, and it could be used or not at the customer's discretion.

I think the locking hubs sticker looks good near or next to the shift pattern sticker.

How does that decal looks like and where is a good place to buy it?

What kind of hubs do you have? Brand?

Back in the day, we only sold Warn. I remember a red sticker, but maybe I'm thinking of the Lock-O-Matic sticker.

Plenty of sources for a sticker online. This is something like what I recall but the wrong color. For JEEP Locking Hub Dash Decal / Sticker | eBay

IIRC Lock-O-Matics are automatic locking hubs, not the conventional hubs. The sticker says "free for normal 2WD and 4WD" ...

They look the same though, and a casual observer wouldn't know the difference. The dial has lock-o-matic on it though.
