V-6 225 Fuel Pump Question

    My dad has a 71' CJ5 with a 225 v6. While taking it apart he noticed the lobe for the fuel pump was worn and had grooves in it. Will the crank have to be replaced or is there a separate part the fuel pump lever rides against? Everything on this engine so far is in excellent shape. The parts and service manual do not show much detail on this subject.

    Which manual are you looking at? I suspect the fuel pump is driven by an eccentric that bolts to the front of the timing gear.
