I am in process of installing a t18 into my 72 cj5, and I could use some help from those who know much more than I. Is the clutch fork the same and throw out bearing. I do I hook up the retainer spring of the clutch fork to the new bell housing that is different than the old bell housing. last, the transmission mount are they different. I have a TSM for 1972 but unable to locate answers to these questions. thanks

Throw out depends on the clutch you are using. The fork has to work with which ever bearing you use. The spring needs to pull the fork and bearing back off the pressure plate. So it would hook to something forward of the fork.

I went from a T14 to T18 with the same clutch but the TO Bearing was definitely different.

Same swap I did in my 73. The input shaft on my T18 has a 1 1/16" dia. input shaft. The T15 has 1 1/8".
Check yours and make sure you have the proper disk. I purchased all my parts for the 78 my T18 came out of.

the t18 most obviously has a different clutch fork retainer spring, but do you remember noticing the difference in the clutch pressure plate, or any of the other clutch components
