FYI I've seen all the parts source listings on these pages but I am specifically looking for recommendations for intermediate CJ rubber parts. firewall grommet with retainer, other firewall grommets and boots, trans/transfer case boots.

You can buy the '74-80 Jeep Corp parts book and look up the rubber parts part numbers. You may then find them by searching the net with "Jeep" and the PN. More Information for DETROIT IRON DPRC11474JPB Available additional places like BJ's and Faxon.

The boot for the transmission shifter is available. They are such poor quality I would recommend the Mr. Gasket boot that you can get from Amazon and other places. If you search the forum, you will find discussion.

Realize that lack-of-parts-support is the primary drawback with an intermediate Jeep. Drivetrain service parts are NP, but anything that not a normal wear-and-tear part probably will not be available as a modern reproduction.

You might check out Barney's Jeeps (an Ebay store). I purchased a hard to find rubber part (valve cover to air cleaner) for my 71. He does list some products for the intermediate Jeeps. Very good quality on the piece I purchased.

I agree with Barney’s. He makes very quality stuff. I have his card on the fridge on the barn. I’ll send the contact info when I get down there.

Good call out on Barney's! They have the fuel filler hoses for the '70 I'm working on. If you guys feel the quality is good, I'll definitely order from him.
