Have You looked at Brennan's Garage web site He has A Power Steering Pump
Bracket for The V-6 Engine , He also talks about different Pumps and remote
    mount reservoirs .

I wish you'd change the pump housing ( or cut the neck off that one and braze/ solder a barb fitting on) and add a remote reservoir ( 97 Pathfinder good donor) and be done with it on the cheap...

That's what I would do too. Remote reservoir on the high mount pump solves all the problems without having to redo an already working break system.

    Exactly......
In the time Scott has spent looking at more complicated options....... He could have had all the remote reservoir parts delivered and installed. :poke:

IMO , All Ideas are doable..... unfortunately , this can happen when your layout is a bit iffy from the get go. I recall that some suggested that he drop a new engine in on his Colorado trip

I’m getting there. Just need one custom hose and I have th ends for it already.
This is the solution I was looking for.
I used the low mount and rotated it up about 1.25". A little chop, a little weld, a couple new holes.

I only need one custom line that I already have the ends for.

It would definitely work but I wasn't ever thrilled about a remote reservoir Or the Bremans Garage mount using the new style PS pump (I have 3 old style pumps).
I'll update Y'all as I get the engine running over the next couple weeks.

Now your cook'n ,Pal . The simpler way all way's seem to be the way foward......Less expensive & more satisfying when we solve the problem . :bananatool:
Oh ,BTW ..... @ the other fitting on your steering box. Try plugging of the hole with some wadding. Clean the cracked threads & apply some JB Weld Marine type . Before it's just fully cured , run a sacrificial fitting in & out . Clean it up & let it cure over-nite before putting in the final hose & 90 degree fitting. That may be enough to repair against the inevitable leak.

$18 for the new pressure hose. Measure and buy a fan belt and we’re all set!!

Not so fast mister. This belt would last about a minute.

I can move the alternator belt out one groove but doesn’t line up on the alternator now.

Does this look good? Enough contact on the water pump to spin the power steering pump?

Is there an alternator pulley that is spaced out to mine up with the next groove on the water pump?

? My ps belt only comes off the crank. Alt belt shares crank and water pump. Should b 3 grooves on the crank pulley, use the rear most one for ps pump.

The issue is the steering box is between the pump and crank making a not so good idler.
Front mount Saginaw is not in the way like the Ford box.

I don't think there is enough joy between the water pump pully and the driving belt to the crank. Being on the tension side of the crank an idler pulley wouldn't be ideal either.

I’m gonna order a dbl groove PS pulley and a dbl groove alternator pulley. See what lines up best and return the other.

Remote mount parts that Tim posted and you wouldn’t have had to change belts…

The double Alt. pulley will do it. Then inner crank to PS pump belt. Then alt, water pump, crank belt. That's how mine is.

I bought both double pulleys and the Alt. pulley did the trick best. So one belt and I’m done with this problem.

Good. 2 Belts total, Correct ?

Yes it will have two belts.
One from the crank > water pump and alternator
Second from water pump > PS pump only.

So after 5 pages of discussion I got to a $50 solution. :bananatool:
I used the modified low mount. I had to modify one pressure hose $18, buy one belt $11 and buy one Double Alt pulley $22.
Thanks to everyone who participated.
