Wax or polish the blade to keep the snow from hanging on like a garden plow?

    Honored!

I do what I can to think outside the box, but most of the stuff I do is someone else’s idea. Seems more and more my generation, and those still coming up don’t know how to do their own research to solve problems. Me personally, I value the knowledge and experience of those completing the task before me.

Don’t forget a little Wd-40 on the snow shovel to keep snow from sticking. (y)

    Those of who you plow with your CJ;
    Do you always chain up?

I’m getting ready for winter plowing and I was curious about plowing without using chains. Running chains definitely causes some driveway wear as the chains leave marks on the driveways. However I doubt running my tires at low pressure wouldnt help.

I’m sure it’s unavoidable, but figured I’d ask.

Also, a couple of plowing upgrades I added for plow season

    OxLocker for the front diff
    [IMG]

Rear defroster so I can actually see when backing-up

I would feel so honored to have my street/driveway plowed by a CJ5! I love this vid. So cool seeing a 60+ yr old vehicle getting business done like it was nothin'. Shows how stout these little Jeeps are.

I will say it’s quite fun to be paid to drive my CJ. A plus is that I can help out people in my neighborhood. I lined up a few more accounts this year, so I should easily 4-6 hours per day of plowing, assuming the snows show up.

Im trying to figure out a way to capture the plow content, but all I have is a simple iPhome. A drone would improve things dramatically, but that’s a lot of coin.

I’ll try to make more exciting content as the snow falls

    from last year

Not usually, The last time I chained up was in 2010, we got 24 inches in Feb. And it pisses me off that I don't have any pic's or vids of me plowing.:banghead:

I never had chains on the CJ, had them for the tractors. I understand them being good for ice and a good base layer but tear up the pavement and sometimes tires.

    Interesting. Even while plowing?

The first time I plowed a driveway I had a lot of traction problems, and the tires I run are pretty aggressive. Maybe this year, I’ll try without them for a bit
