Suspension Kits Questions, what to buy?

Whats going on guys. My 67 CJ5s:v6: suspention in completly shot and i mean GOOONE. The rear is totally sagging and soft due to the PO towing stuff he really should not have, and the front is just used and abused and i got death wobble still going on even after going through all the steering,
so im looking into buy a complete, full overhaul kit. Now i have 3 options that i know of, but if anyone else has an idea for sure throw it out there. Theres a 2.5inch lift kit "everything" included for around $410. I really dont want to lift it cause that'll mean just more things to buy and i like to keep it original as possible. Theres the omix ada stock kit for i believe it was $571? And so far the best BUT most expensive option was a kit from Willys Kaiser parts.com that comes with a ton more than the crap omix kit but its at a hefty $650.
Let me know what ya think THANKS!!!

Do you want a lift, or stock height?
There's not much to the suspension on a CJ...4 springs, 4 shocks, new u bolts is about it.

Perhaps a sad fact, but the best quality springs for the money will be lift springs. Actually, 2.5" springs don't change the looks too much and most of them ride better than stock, even good stock. No doubt in my mind which direction I would go if the omix-ada is the only stock option you can find. There are a number of places where you could get them built but I suspect you could buy several sets of Rancho 2.5" lift springs for what you will have in them.

Really? The lift would not make it much taller or stretch anything up? I dont mind the rough ride but i am concerned with the "lift" aspect of that. But if its only a small difference then I'd totally be down for that. Thanks alot for that advice my friend.

2.5 inch kits are so small they dont really affect driveline angles/ steering set-up, you dont even need to change the pitman arm or anything, i'm going with one when i get the dough.

Not true. I had to install a shims in the front for caster correction. Also the rear driveline needs to be adjust or you will get vibes.

    X2 on the bds lift.

Most early CJs don't have pitman arms stock....

You have to check your castor afterwords, and probably would have to change the shims.

BDS is great. You can go 6" and all the way down to stock.

Caster angle should be adjusted anyway, unless your still running bias ply tires.

I have 2.5" BDS springs on mine. Pretty good ride quality (relatively speaking) and flex. I have no rear driveline issues. I do get some bump steer, but it's manageable.
I have 4 degree caster shims (quality steel ones from forum member McRuff) and it drives straight down the road.

Never did figure out what that thing was called... i've heard about 20 different names for it, i just called it a pitman arm (not refering to the one on the steering box)

Bell crank maybe, depends on the exact part.

    Pitman arm looks like this

Explorer Pro-Comp will be the best value for 2.5" and will include shocks.
