Definitely don't toss those bits if you decide you don't need them.

Here's another pic from last weekend. Johnson Valley, Cougar Buttes to Slash X cafe with the So Cal Off Road Explorers. I tried to straddle the ditch, but forgot I'm not wide or long like my old Nissan. Ended up nearly doing a wheelie, and bent my rear crossmember when I ran it into the rocks.

Hi! Just posted this on the introduction part, but thought I should place it on here as well, keep them all in same spots! Here is my 1959 CJ5 (to be confirmed, only just got it and straight into shop, so haven't checked VIN etc yet). Will post more pics once I get it back!

Looks good. If you copy and paste the link from IMG in photobucket, the image will appear in your post instead of a link. :)

Got a better picture? Split windshield and flat fenders with a CJ grill and hood? I can't ID it, but I like it!

Posimoto- Will get a better picture(s) hopefully by end of week, the Beast is in at shop getting a new water pump… Once I get that definitely be picking everyones brains (and research of my own of course) as to what I have got exactly, and how original it is. Whatever it is it's cool and going to be getting a lot of driving! It's my own brand of de-stressing! Thanks for the tip on fixing photos too!

    Tomatolane,

I've been told they are Kelsey Hayes wheels, I've never had the tires dismounted to check.
I know they are 15x8. Those tires are 235/75/r15.

That mud was only 3-4 inches deep, but it stuck to your boots and tires all at once.

I love the way those wheels look.

I will have to find a set a widen them.

Your jeep looks tough with that thick mud on the tires. :)

I liked the look to, to bad I had no traction.

Need a front Ox locker and some mud terrains before I try stuff like that again.

Here's my spanky "new" ride! I'm kind of a motorcycle guy and I don't really have the equipment to work on larger vehicles, but I've always wanted an antique jeep....

I plan to make some more happy-fun videos as I work on it, so I am looking forward to picking yourall's brains and sharing whatever (limited) technical knowledge I have back with the community. :D
