Aftermarket Vintage style rear lights. Stop and turn and reverse. What to get

I am redoing my Jeep but it isnt going to be a concours resto. I really want to get rid of the dorky $5 rectangle trailer lights off of it and actually get some reverse lights back onto it to give it some of the original character in the rear. So I am just looking for something close to stock looking for the 73 model year but easy to find if I mash one up on the trail.

I am looking for something along the lines of the the stock lights or a decent facsimile thereof.


Any brands that I should look at? Give me your Ideas please, Keep in mind I do not want to stick repos or NOS on the back of it.

 

Check out morris 4x4, I just picked up a couple LED that are a direct fit from that era. 35.00 ea. I have installed a couple on my other 74 last year. They are not fancy but fit the description of what you are looking for

The originals in good condition are scarce. Note that only the left side should have the clear window to illuminate the license plate.

 

I like the flush mounted LED's and that's what I did on my A1. But if you want a round light (and a little bigger for safety!) and separate reverse lights, look into late 60's GM stepside truck lights. Classic Industries has them as well as many others, but their website is hard to navigate so here is a pic from my truck.

 

I put a set of these on a while back and have been pleased. Both lights had the clear lens for license plate light. I just spray painted the inside of the housing of the one to go on the right to block the light.

 

That same seller has back up lights too they are listed as turn signals with clear lenses.

 

I found those style lights in an LED for like $35 quite a while back.. Love em..

 

X2. I bought mine several years ago and you almost can't tell they are not original. Very happy with them.

No. I think I found em online someplace. I'll google it a bit and see if I can find em
