Good Evening. I’ve had this dash pad in the jeep parts collection for awhile. Tonight I installed it on the windshield to see how it looks. (It has yet to grow on me!)
I’ve researched dash pads on the Renegades and this one looks different and not rounded like those are. Has anyone seen one similar? Could this be aftermarket?
    Thanks!

It's not Jeep. Aftermarket, I'd expect.

There are 3 styles of Jeep pad for the CJ, AFAIK. First is the stitched type used on the 70ish Renegade and extended to the Intermediates through 1974. The 1975 has a unique dash pad that is the same size and shape as the stitched variant, but is molded. In 1976 and later, they used a molded pad with a profile more like yours, but it's embossed with big "AM Jeep" letters and has a pocket for the windshield wiper motor, located on the inside of the '76-up windshield frame.

Maybe this will help. Here is a picture of the original dash pad for a 1971 Renegade II. Hope this helps.

I wanted one in my 70 but since they didn't come out until 71 IIRC and they are hard to find, I spent about $25 and made one. Not perfect, but I'm ok with it. CAM00521.jpg

Thanks for the replies and info. Since mine is more angular than some of the other examples I suspect it might have been custom made? It has no tags on it and it came with an old windshield frame I acquired for the latches and brackets.
    I’ll keep it for now.......
