I'm so thrilled the way my '68 is coming along, just had to share it with my friends :D~ the fenders are just held by a few bolts, just checking for fitment, but I have plenty yet to do!

That's on Mosquito Pass - the last right hand switch back that goes over to the antennas - not the Pass road.

It's sitting on the DJ frame in the picture. The postal jeep frames are thicker stampings and fully boxed. It's dimensionaly an early CJ-5 frame with outboard rear leafs. For a flat fender, you need to cut off all the old hangers, and shorten the overhangs past the new spring hagers a bit. A few custom body mounts are also needed.

Always liked a white jeep. When I do my rebuild I am going back with the factory color, Glacier White.
    I also had a 64 CJ-3B that was white.
Also I have a white Dodge 3500, a white ford f-550, and a white and silver Yamaha XT-500 Enduro. Come to think of it maybe I am obsessed white trucks.

It was a nice night for a drive. The flag and the ocean backdrop caught my eye so I stopped for a photo. If I had time I would have moved the Jeep up a bit to block the house.

You should add some mud! Too clean... but very impressive. I am flabbergasted.

What degree is the rear drive shaft angle.

18° as it sits, without tools, passengers or a spare in the back. A 1310 series double cardan maxes out at 28°, and I have a limiting strap at the pinion that will keep it from going that far. I’ve noticed no vibration, but I’ve only had it up to about 45-50 MPH so far. Joint longevity should be the only thing that suffers. I can deal with that more than vibration.

How did You adjust the fluid level in the Rear End ?

Back when it was just axles and a frame, I lifted the rear end up with the engine hoist high enough that the pinion was level and filled it. I figured I’d eventually get a steel cover and tap in a higher bung. I don’t trust the aluminum cover anyway.
