Will A 1974 Cj5 Rear Seat Work In A 1965 Cj5

    I just picked up a nice used rear seat from a 1974 Cj5. Will it fit in the back of a 1965 Cj5? Are the mounts the same?

    Same tub width so fab up your mounts or purchase.

    It's the right size but the seat frame and brackets are different. Did you get the seat legs with the seat?

    Yes it has the legs it is missing one of the spring loaded latches but previous owner put a bolt in its place. So it should be easy to fabricate. I paid 100 for the seat and I did not think that was too bad.

    If it doesn't need to be reupholstered and comes with the legs, you stole it. The pins are held in with a cotter key as I recall, so it would be easy to lose one.
