thanks. its a small lake, jetzers, here in sheboygan. sadly, its how many wooded areas look like. emerald ash borer is a big deal and killed off so many of the trees around here, its sad.

A little Jeep and mostly dogs. Took the dogs for a drive in the '69 with the windshield down. They had a great time.

Now that's my kind of jeep ride! I would be liking that too.

Planted three willow trees with the requisite supports and deer fencing to survive the first few years around here. Used the '69 as a support and watering vehicle:

The dogs liked the Jeep shade:

You always have great pictures of your working Jeeps. You even raised some Jeep dogs.

    Very nice.

Out driving around with the dogs and the windshield down again. My wife hopped in the back and snapped a couple photos:

I need to add a center anchor like that, the CJ is the one vehicle I don't mind hauling dogs in but the wife would be freaked out if they weren't secured in some way. It would make a good place to hang my headsets too

It is really nice to have. Last night we were just putting around 15-20mph on the back roads so I didn't harness them in. If I'm going down the highway or doing some bumpy offroading the dogs get strapped in. Bodie the taller dog is a bit of a daredevil and likes to lean way out to get his head in the wind. I use a harness so they won't get strangled by their collar:

Our border collie likes to grab a bit of every type of shrubbery that comes within reach, whether the driveway or on the trail. We end up with a bunch of pine/fir/spruce branch tips/needles we have to clean out of the Jeep every trip. I'm afraid one of these days he is going to chomp onto one and get sucked right out the window.

I used these clamps from Amazon, but they 1.75" and 2" ones don't seem to be available anymore. They only show 1" clamps now:
These look look like they would be a good substitute:
I also bought a fancy stainless eye-bolt that has a bigger opening and looks nicer than the normal hardware store stuff:

 Ours like to chomp at grass, crop, whatever when they are running up the driveway. Such goofy animals.

Hah, random chance of me wearing my olive shirt. I do computer support for a living. I think being a UPS driver would be a lot more fun but it doesn't pay as well.
