    jpflat2a what's that noise?

I'm always leary of re-drilled anything
his pic of his rotors show that the stud holes might be overlapping
seems high for just brackets and rotors
    that's my opinion
your '58 would have tapered axles; kit appears to work with existing flanged axles
the rotor pictured fits over the flanged axle
you would need something for the rotor to ride on; like a full floating kit with spindles and hubs

Thanks for the info. I will not purchase this kit. Do you know off another kit out there for my application?

    Thanks for your time.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    {banging head against wall, DUMB}
you have a rear hub with studs (don't know what I was thinking)
the rotor would fit over the hub
the question is whether his rotors would fit over your hubs, offset, etc
    contact the seller and ask

No worries. I would rather be sure than toss away 2 C-notes. I am going to contact the seller and see what he says.

Regardless do you know of another rear disk brake conversion kit?

The Warn full floater kit will work if its a D44. Warn makes the brackets to mount the calipers. The Literature with the kit specifes the rotors and calipers that will work. One set of possible Calipers have intergral E brake. I have this set up, except skipped E brake calipers, and it works well. Pricey AM

I used frount caliper brachets from a 1/2 chevy 4x4 1987 or older.Frount calipers or cadillac rear calipers,if you need an ebreak set up.BigJeep frount rotors 1.125 (77-78)rotors on the back side of the hubs,or remachined F 150 4x4 frount rotors,as take off rotors and longer wheel studs. this same set up can be used on the frount as well .

    nickmil In mothballs.

The ones from TSM looks like it would work. The one on E-bay won't, axle housing end is a different diameter and bolt pattern than the CJ tapered axle housing. Nickmil.

An XJ has a smaller bolt circle (5 x 4.5?) than a CJ, so the rotors won't fit.

I appreciate all of the input. I'm gonna go with the TSM kit. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
