Pictures of grey jeeps?

Aaaah, the best looking grey Jeep on the net. Scott that picture doesn't do your jeep justice.

Jeep had a similar color 75-77 called Pewter Gray Poly (metallic) which I also like.

 

MY 59 came from the factory this color I plan to return to that color It looks great.

 

Thanks for all the pictures, i still havent got around to painting yet. A few other things cropped up inbetween, like a lift and new 33 tires! I did manage to strip and paint my frame in the summer, so this summer hopefully i'll get around to the body. Can't decide now whether to go for metallic or flat colour, i think i might be pulling towards the flat, ive got pictures of both in the colour i'd like, any advice on which? View attachment 15781

The actual name is called "Haze Gray" if anybody is looking for the color.

What about Animal? Not gray, but kind of at that end of the spectrum and sure is pretty!

As has been told to me by numerous body/paint guys - black is THE most difficult color to paint because it shows EVERY imperfection - stay light if you're trying to "hide" flaws.

 

Two tone has possibilities . . . .

 

I'm seriously considering the chameleon paint kits and repaint my green beast with that stuff since you can't even see dent's unless your lookin for them

 

Ummm try the other way. Chameleon paint requires a perfect body or else every flaw will be seen. Think of it like a gloss black body on steroids. I have seen a few cars that have been done in the paint. Makes it easy to see every flaw in the bodywork including where they put too much bondo at the door seams and it built up just a little bit. Any change in angle makes a different color.

 

black shows more inperfextions, but hides body lines, light colors show less inperfections but highlight body lines.

 

Gray looks good on most all JEEPs. I saw a flatty painted "Patomic Gray" about 8 months ago and it looked very good. Of course, many times the paint is only as good as the prep and the painter. Personally I think my next will be flat black with white accents to have that old hot rod look.
