Does anyone know the estimated value of a working T18 Borg Warner tranny?

My other question is can you connect a Warn overdrive to a Dana 20 TC? I don't think so from what I've read but want to make sure. I might have found an Warn overdrive on a Dana 18/20 for sale for a good price. The guy wants to sell the tranny with it too, but will opt to sell TC and overdrive seperately. I need to know how much he should knock off the price for the tranny. Thanks.

Warn OD will NOT work with a D20. T18 will depend on which one it is. Anywhere from @$50 to $350 here.

What's the application for the T-18? Intermediate CJ? Ford pickup Jeep V8 truck? Something else?

The warn overdrive will work with the dana 20 so long as you use the dana 20 large hole case and turn it into a dana 18.
Around here T18's of virtually any kind can be bought for $100 or less unless a jeep guy is selling it, then its rare and he wants $300 for it.

Sounds like it came out of a Jeep that had a Ford 302 V8. I have a Dana 18 and I'm trying to figure out if the overdrive will fit, or if it will only fit the Dana 20. Most people say an overdrive can't be put on a Dana 20, so I'm thinking that the guy actually has a Dana 18. But one person said you can put one on. ?? I may have to swap my TC too...

If they are all bolted together in one piece, you can just swap in the whole assembly can't you? What McRuff is saying is that you can use a dana20 case with all dana18 internals and then use the OD unit, basically you would be making a center output dana18 if I understand it right.

Let me clarify what I was trying to say. A warn overdrive will not bolt to a dana 20 in stock form, but a dana 20 case can be made into a stock large hole dana 18. I was thinking that you were talking about a dana 20 and a warn OD as seperate items not already bolted together, my mistake.

My fault for not being clear about what I was saying. I think I get it now. Thanks for the input. If the TC ends up being a D18 I'll just remove the overdrive and bolt it right on to mine. Do I need to worry about shimming or anything? Anyone ever installed a solenoid instead of a 4th shifter? I think I have enough metal sticks in my way already! :)

If it turns out to be a Dana 20 can I just bolt it right up to my Muncie or will I need an adaptor?

You have the D18 to a Muncie 21/22 now I am assuming (based on your profile). If so, you would need to have the large hole D18 to Muncie now to just bolt the D20 on. You can get a bearing retainer (Nickmill gave the source for one a while back) to convert the large hole Tcase to the small hole mounting if needed.
