What goes in this hole ?

    Yeah, my 74 had the body color plug too. I've never seen the brake warning light. My 74 has a "brake" light built into the speedometer cluster.

    Maybe it's just a "utility" hole that they prepunched for various options. Tach wire, Brake warning light, plow light switch, aux throttle ? Thanks for all the great replys. Wish I had a body color plug.....or a brake warning light....been thinking about mounting a "courtesy light" that would illuminate the floor....might be a good place for the switch for that....I guess there are all kinds of uses for a utility hole ! ( I wonder if that would qualify as an off topic discussion?)

    Lowes and maybe Home Depot have those plugs in the hardware drawers.

    I know that it's not factory, but I have a button for a friggin loud ooga horn :shock:) Good way to scare pedestrians.R) (I know it's hill billy, but the PO installed it and I cannot justify removing it.)

    no pics of it, but that is where my steering column mounted tach wires go into the dash... not factory obviously.
