I have two projects working, one has a Dana 27 front end and the other has a Dana 30 front end. Both have drum brake that I would like to convert to disc. Do any of the Dana 27, 30, and 44 parts interchangeable? for example Caliper brackets, rotors, calipers and the like. I can find info. easy enough for the Dana 27 conversion but it tough to find info about the Dana 30 coversion. Also I have access to a Dana 44 that I could use for a donor for disc brake parts. (It's out of a wagoneer, too wide)

    Thanks

The Wagoneer will be 6-lug if equipped with disk brakes, so that's out. AFAIK the knuckles and the spindles are different between the 30 and 44, and nothing exchanges.

I think the 30 swap is pretty easy - either switch everything from the knuckles out from a later 30, or build it up like the 27. Have you searched the forums here? Both this and the Intermediate forum.

Yes I did check the forums and could not locate any information specific to my swap. I guessing there is no easy swap. I was hoping it would, the after market disc brake kits are a little pricey for my budget.
I have two Dana 30's, one wide with disc and one narrow with drum. I may just use the wide to gain some extra tire/spring clearance. One member (probably more) have done this swith and the extra width (3" I think) wasn't really noticable. The other option would be to swap the brake assemblies.

    Thank for the help.

No easy swap? Like Tim said find another D30 and swap the parts, it's not difficult at all. I don't know what you qualify as easy though, but that doesn't require much work.

Use the brakes off the WT on the NT. See the WT/NT D30 discussion that's recently discussed for that topic. The NT is already wider than the D27 and fits better.

I found several relevant threads with this search:

    http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/search.php?searchid=549419

You'll have to spend a few minutes separating the wheat from the chaff, since "30" is not a valid search term.

As Sparky points out, swap everything between the two D30 axles from the knuckles out.

    Search for
    Code:
    "dana 30" and "disk brakes"
Or the like to include "30" in the search. Anything in quotes will be considered a phrase and matched.

This thread has more information on how to effectively use the search function here, http://earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49545
