Well, some of you might remember me taking the 1965 Galaxie to pick up my 69 CJ-5 Frame and Tub the other day.

I asked a buddy to help me unload it from the trailer and got the frame on the sawhorses and the tub on some furniture dollies. I am going to tackle the frame with my angle grinder and wire wheel then ratlle can it in preperation for assembly. I will probably sandblast the body components later when I have a rolling chassis done.

Finally decided on a name for this 5 year project (So Far). It is named "Little John in honor of my 4 Year old who has told me that in no uncertain terms the Jeep is his.

Updates will be made here as the build continues. Now for the pics....

Wish I has removed the Bellcrank before taking the axle off. Now I have to Jimmy it so I can get it off.

    Shopping Trip

Have not had time to do anything to the jeep since I brought the frame home. My Wife has the H1N1 and I took the week off to help out with the kids while the wife is sick. Took the kids with me today and made a shopping trip. Just a few odds and ends...R)

    Possible Seats

Traded an expired case of MRE's for these buckets. I think they are out of an early 60's Chevy. Gotta see if they will work, but they are very fat and the wrong color to go with the Presidents Red, or even the Air Force Blue I have been thinking of for the Jeep.

More Progress. Getting ready for the Dana 44's. Never got the tub and bits sandblasted and I am tired of waiting. I am going to do the Maaco Special when I am ready for paint. Tired of having pieces with nothing to look at. Thanks to Mike Heimbig for the top.

Looks very familiar (really similar to mine). I'm going to go away from the red (which was "Trans Am Red" in '74 according to the factory color sheet). Seen one too many early red CJ's with the white Meyers tops. :D

I do, however, like the bounty from your shopping trip. I could use a similar run!

My 4 year old says this is his jeep hence "Little John" build name. He picked out a Satin Blue color.... We will need to see about that.
