I just installed an Edelbrock 600 CFM carb and an Edlebrock SP2P manifold on my 304 powered 1975 CJ5. The throttle cable I had with the old manifold and carb is about 1/2 inch too short for the new set-up. Can someone recommend a cable that will work for me?

I wish I had that problem, mine seems too long...................
have you thought of using a different location? or different app?
I could steer you better if I had a picture of the problem.
I have not done this setup but if I saw I could give direction.

I think I'm going to use a universal (adjustable) cable from Lokar or Mr. Gasket. Maybe you should consider the same.

Go to the salvage yard and obtain the throttle cable off a mid 90's Jeep Cherokee. It's a longer cable and on my 76 CJ-7 it attached perfectly to the pedal, firewall and throttle body.

Throttle cables are an inexpensive parts-store item - no need to take one from the wrecking yard.

There are a lot of different lengths of this type of cable. If your parts store is helpful, you can look through their stock, or they can order up what you think might work. Ordering parts and returning them costs them nothing for most stuff, except for their time.

You don't have to get a new throttle cable to solve your issue. There is a part right in the edelbrock manual that talks about mounting your existing throttle cable to the intake manifold. It's edlebrock throttle cable adapter p/n 8034. $11.99 on jegs.com. Mine was short by about 1/2 in found that on the back of the install instructions for the manifold and ordered and installed. Worked like a champ.
