    Hello all,

    Just thought I would say hello to all. I have been mostly lurking on this site for a while now and I am happy to have found it. The knowledge here I hope to tap into will be very valuable to me.

    I purchased my first Jeep a few weeks ago as a driver/ on going project. I bought a jeep because the uniqueness of some of the parts on my last project was frustrating. Also, I have never owned or worked on a Jeep before. So, what did I buy, a 1970 CJ5 with a V-6.

    Unless the moderators have an objection, I figured I would use this thread to ask all my questions that undoubtedly have been covered before but I could not find in search.

    Thanks for the help I have already received and thank you for the help I will get.

    Jim

    My first question I have read a little here but was unclear on is;

    The tierod end that attaches to the bellcrank, is there a difference between it on the 4cyl and 6 cyl CJ5s in 1970?

    Welcome. The first thing I would point out is that you are in the wrong section of the forum. The 1970 is considered an "early" CJ5. The model year change to "intermediate" was in 1972.

    Jim,

    I would suggest separate threads with good descriptive titles rather than trying to go from one topic to the next in the same thread. You'll probably get more responses. Plus, in the future, if someone is using the search function and they have the same or similar question, it can be a BIG help.
